We love this!
Coeliac food shopping can be a bore - it takes forever to read all the ingredient labels doesn’t it!?
Fear not Planet Organic have come up with a savvy idea to make shopping simpler for anyone with specific dietary requirements. Just like the sign board all their shelf edge tickets have little coloured circles to indicate is something is veggie or gluten free & more. It made shopping in the Planet Organic in London a synch. Of course it also meant we bought far more than we went in for though! The great thing about Planet Organic is that you get interesting organic foods that you can’t find anywhere else. We bought some unusual pear crisps that are gluten free and will report back on those!
If you’re curious as to their range of gluten free food then click here for a glimpse of what they offer.
Of course Planet Organic is a niche supermarket and is generally in affluent areas in London. Yet we think it’s a great start to see a food store thinking outside the box and trying to make shopping simple for anyone with dietary needs. After all if they can do it why can’t other supermarkets?
